Astute’s Nuclear Team is partnering with a design consultancy, who are involved in a multitude of sectors, including nuclear and commercial, to recruit an Associate Structural Engineer for one of their offices in Nottingham.

The strategically important Associate Engineer role comes with a comprehensive package up to £75,000 and various negotiables.

Responsibilities and duties of the Associate Structural Engineer role

Reporting to the Director you will:

• Offer technical advice and guidance to your team of 8
• Successfully secure and bring work into the business
• Recruitment of your new team members
• Successful run the office and projects
• Be strategically involved with the direction of the business and team
• Regularly communicate with clients, stakeholders and the wider board

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Chartered with the ICE or IStructE
• Proven managerial and mentoring experience
• Proven success bringing work and clients into the business
• Background working with a variety of project types and materials

Personal skills

The Associate Structural Engineer role would suit someone who is:

• Able to manage a variety of people
• Keen to continue growing within their own career, pathway to being on a board in the future
• A strong communicator both internally and externally and able to build strong rapport
• Intuitive and open to coming up with new ideas
