Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading recycling and waste services management company. They are looking to recruit a supervisor to support he day to day running of 3 Windrow Composting sites around the Exeter area.

The Composting Supervisor role comes with a starting salary of up to £34,000 + other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Supervise and support the composting operations across the 3 sites.
  • Telehandler operation to move wave and materials around the site.
  • Perform daily and weekly checks on the facility and completing associated paperwork.
  • Carry out routine and minor repairs, plan and organise maintenance across sites.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance, and PPE guidelines are followed.
  • Liaise with regulatory inspectors when required.
  • Other duties as required.
 
 
Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

 

  • Experience in compositing/ recycling, or similar environment, working with plant operations and routine maintenance activities.
  • Proven experience supervising and leading a team, highly desirable if this has been across multiple locations.
  • Knowledge of PAS100.

Salary and benefits of the Composting Supervisor role

 

  • Salary between £30,000 up to £34,000 (DOE).
  • Monday – Friday.
  • Company car/ car allowance.
  • Tax free profit share bonus.
  • Other benefits to be discussed.
