Site Operator - Anaerobic Digestion
Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a market leader in the Anaerobic Digestion sector to recruit a Site Operator for the plant located on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent
The Site Operator will play a vital role in the daily operations of the Anaerobic Digestion facility and will play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of the business. It comes with a Salary of £30,000 rising to £32,000 after being fully trained, a pension, call out allowance with door-to-door travel.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Site Manager you will:
- Conduct daily operations of the Anaerobic Digestion plant through the running of SCADA systems.
- Ensure the plant is running as intended.
- Visual equipment checks and fault finding.
- Conduct first line maintenance such as pump changes and isolations.
- Feedstock analysis and testing.
- Daily site inspections to reduce downtime.
- Other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Telehandler is desired
- Full UK driving licence
Personal skills
The Site Operator role would suit someone who is:
- Happy to work in an outdoor environment (maybe you’ve worked on a farm or a similar processing environment)
- Interested in the Anaerobic Digestion process and renewable energy
Salary and benefits of the Site Operator role
- A basic salary of £30,000, rising to £32,000 after full training (roughly 6 – 8 months depending on your skills)
- On call allowance
- Working pattern Monday to Friday with weekends rota
- Pension
