About the role:

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a green energy engineering company, that offer services ranging from design, project management, installation and maintenance, with a focus on renewable energy assets, including solar power, EV infrastructure and energy efficiency solutions. we are recruiting for a Site Manager for a 12-month contract to support the delivery of solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in the UK. The role will be based onsite in Cambridge.

The Site Manager role comes with a day rate of up to £400 per day.

Key skills:

• Liaising with clients and reporting progress to key stakeholders and colleagues involved in the project.
• Supervising construction workers and managing the hiring process for subcontractors.
• Ensuring the project progresses according to defined timescales.
• Overseeing health and safety inspections to meet required standards.
• Checking site reports, designs, and drawings to ensure proper project execution.
• Addressing and resolving onsite issues and escalating them to the appropriate stakeholders when necessary.

Profile requirements:

• Level 6 Civil Engineering Site Management degree, NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in the UK construction sector, ideally with BESS, solar PV, and EVCP projects.
• Strong initiative, logical thinking, and effective multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.

• Cambridgeshire
• 12-month contract with potential to extend
• Full-time onsite (5 days per week)
