Astute’s Power team is partnering with a Waste Treatment provider with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to be involved in the development of new client accounts across the UK.

The strategically important Senior Business Development Manager role comes with a salary of up to £87,000.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Head of Sales you will:

Work in a fast paced, target oriented role aimed towards high value new business wins.
Development professional able to distil business strategy into careful sector targeting.
Review quality, financial and commercial offering before presenting to Head of Municipal and MD Municipal for sign off
Produce key operational method statements
Oversee the production and completion of complex waste flows
Actively and successfully managing the entire end to end sales process
Oversee the work of the core project team, including Project Managers and Spatial Analysts

Professional qualifications

Minimum five years working in the Municipal Development Sector at a Development Manager / Director level
Track record in successfully developing, winning and extending large public sector waste and recycling infrastructure procurements including PFIs/PPPs/ and successor Contracts
Must have experience with PFI & PPP

Personal skills

The Business Development Manager role would suit someone who is:

A great communicator
Agile, solutions focused development skillset.
Is a self-motivator and independent
Experienced in developing, managing and implementing new business services.
Knowledgeable of the Waste industry including relevant laws would be advantageous
