Astute’s Renewables team are partnered with an exciting and growing installer of domestic and commercial scale Solar PV, BESS and Heat Pump systems in the South East of England, with a commitment to professional development and sustainability. We are looking to recruit a Sales and Business Development Manager to join this exciting company to lead the sales department, leveraging experience in business development and sales team management or supervision, to offer effective solar and renewable energy solutions to customers and drive business growth.

The strategically important Sales and Business Development Manager role comes with a starting salary up to £65k depending on experience, commission structure, hybrid working, 30 days holiday, pension, healthcare, laptop and phone and more.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Managing Director you will:

 

  • Manage the existing sales team and sales related processes. Forecasting, training the team, setting budgets and managing team performance.
  • Lead business development efforts, attending conferences or expos and public events.
  • Manage existing accounts and client relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, team members, marketing and other departments to generate effective marketing campaigns and strategies to drive sales.
  • Communicate with design and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered to specification and on time.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

 

  • Demonstrable experience in business development or sales in domestic and/or commercial scale solar. Additional experience with BESS or other renewables would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Sales team management or supervision of other sales people.
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of how solar panels work – alongside government frameworks.
  • Able to represent the business professionally at all times.
  • Excellent IT and computer skills.
  • Happy with regionalised travel for site visits or trips – when required.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
