Remote UK, ideal location would be south of Manchester but we’re open to options

About the role:
Astute’s Renewables Team is proudly partnered with a key business and influential player in the UK solar and battery storage market. They are a full cycle provider or large scale renewable solutions and are a market leader in the development, engineering, construction and operation of large scale solar and battery assets.

This Project Manager role comes with a salary of up to £70,000, a huge benefits package and genuine hybrid working with an average of one day on site/at a client’s office.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Head of Project Management you will:

• Be responsible for a number of turnkey EPC projects to deliver both on time and budget
• Travel to visit sites, undertaking construction feasibility assessments
• Review all works against contractual obligations and quality standards
• Manage all key project personnel, including Engineers, stakeholders, subcontractors and more
• Ensure that CDM regulations are met and to ensure the highest SHEQ standards at all times
• Support the preparation of project tender information
• Prepare budget reports and present these to the relevant stakeholders
• Identify and escalate any risks on the projects, be it financial, timings, logistics etc
• Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• A degree in a relevant field, ideally electrical or mechanical engineering
• At least three years delivering renewable energy projects, ideally solar or BESS
• Demonstrable track record of delivering projects on time and budget
• A UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Personal skills:
The Project Manager role would suit someone who is:

• A problem-solver and self-starter
• Very interested in renewables and the energy transition; we want someone very passionate about the sector
• Excellent verbal and written English language
