About the role:
Astute’s Renewables Team is proudly partnered with a key business and influential player in the UK solar and battery storage market. They are a full cycle provider or large scale renewable solutions and are a market leader in the development, engineering, construction and operation of large scale solar and battery assets.

This Engineering Project Manager role comes with a salary of up to £70,000, a huge benefits package and genuine hybrid working with an average of one day on site/at a client’s office.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will:

• Provide genuine engineering guidance and leadership for the entire sales phase of projects
• Carry out engineering feasibility and evaluating technical specifications to the client’s requirements
• Lead of the drafting of technical concepts in order to submit bids
• Preparation of technical bid documents
• Managing the design teams, ensuring standards are high and deadlines are met
• Prepare bill of materials, supporting tendering and procurement
• Take control of technical documents, working with the Document Controller to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Identify and monitor potential technical risk areas as well as opportunities
• Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• A degree in a relevant field, ideally electrical or mechanical engineering
• Solar experience is essential and BESS is desired but not essential
• Technical project management and or/technical sales experience in the solar power market is essential
• A UK driving licence

Personal skills:
The Engineering Project Manager role would suit someone who is:

• A problem-solver and self-starter
• Very interested in renewables and the energy transition; we want someone very passionate about the sector
• Excellent verbal and written English language
