Procurement and Contract Manager

Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with an international player in the nuclear energy market recognised for its innovative solutions and technology for designing, building, maintaining, and advancing the global nuclear sector to recruit a Contracts Manager for its Fuel business unit’s growth into the UK markets, based out of their Bristol office..

The Procurement and Contracts Manager will spear head the growth of this department in the UK and comes with a base salary starting from £65,000, minimum of 9% pension, 25 days annual leave and a wealth of other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Project Manager you will:
 

• Ensure the definition of contracts for projects across construction, engineering, manufacturing, and materials.
• Ensure the closing of contracts with support from relevant teams.
• Aid in the risk and opportunity reviews.
• Checking planning and cost progresses, actioning any necessary steps.
• Management of change requests or claims, negotiating the definition of additions to the contract.

Professional qualifications
 

We are looking for someone with the following:
 

• Contract management/engineering/business administration degree or equivalent.

Personal skills
 

The Procurement and Contracts Manager role would suit someone who is:
 

• Previous experience as a contracts manager, working in an industrial setting.
• Experience working in a regulated sector (water, oil and gas, pharma, aerospace, nuclear, offshore wind, etc).
