Plant Engineer

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a renewable energy provider with a commitment to professional development and sustainability to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for its Anaerobic Digestion site in South West Wales. 
 
The strategically important Maintenance Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £48,000 (depending on experience), pension and flexible working options.

Responsibilities and duties 
 
Reporting to the AD Manager you will: 

• Take responsibility for all mechanical and electrical maintenance and engineering works across the plant whilst planning PPM’s and ensuring maximum efficiency at all times
• Liaise directly with suppliers getting quotes for required works across the site.
• Maintain all plant and equipment across the site, including pumps, SCADA systems, heat exchangers, motors etc.
• Providing out of hours servicing or repair works as and when required.
• Work closely with the AD Manager and Ops Manager in leading various projects around the site which could vary from design works, sourcing new equipment, building etc.

 
 
 
Professional qualifications 
 
We are looking for someone with the following: 

• Experience of working within either Anaerobic Digestion, Water Treatment, Food Processing, or a similar environment is desirable, however all environments will be considered. 
• Experience of having control over a plant or similar enviroment including all maintenance and engineering.
• Knowledge and experience of stripping pumps and maintaining various plant and equipment.

 
 
 
Personal skills 
 
The Maintenance Engineer role would suit someone who is: 

• Ideally within 45 minutes of the site and happy to participate in an on call rota.
• Experienced in working within mucky environments.
• Happy to get stuck in with other team members on the plant.
