Astute’s Nuclear Team is retained by a leading radiometric protection provider who are looking for a Junior Service Engineer to service clients across a wide range of sites across the UK.

The Junior Service Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £35,000 per annum plus a car allowance of £670 per month and many other benefits. As the Junior Service Engineer, you will oversee the execution of planned electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations of advanced instrumentation on client sites.

Responsibilities and duties:
As the Junior Service Engineer you will:

Handle and install a variety of instruments, including Waste Monitors, Contamination Monitors, Vehicle Monitors, Area Gamma Alarms, and Counting Systems.
Perform both reactive and preventative maintenance to keep everything in top condition.
Align your work with the company’s goals, ensuring timely completion of all tasks while exceeding customer expectations.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by resolving issues quickly and professionally.
Follow all safety guidelines from the company’s safety manual and customer safety documents.
Maintain a safe work environment and report any safety issues promptly.

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

Electrical or Electronic qualification or relevant experience.

Full UK Driving Licence.
UK National capable of obtaining SC Clearance.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Personal skills
The Junior Service Engineer role would suit someone who has:

Background in service and support
Nuclear experience is desirable
The ability to have overnight stays away from home, occasional planned weekend wok and overseas travel
Flexibility when needed to carry out additional duties based on business needs in various areas of the UK

Salary up to £35,000 DOE
Car allowance of £670 per month
