Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with a global leader in uranium enrichment and nuclear fuel supply to recruit an Environmental Advisor on a Contract basis for its Capenhurst site.

The Environmental Advisor role comes with a rate £40 per hour inside IR35.

Key skills

Provide guidance to ensure consistent compliance with Environmental Permits, preventing any non-compliance issues that may arise.
Define and implement management system arrangements to comply with environmental legislation while incorporating best practice solutions where feasible.
Offer expertise on contaminated land monitoring and managing in-ground contaminants.
Deliver timely, practical, and relevant environmental advice to the business, including projects, covering compliance with environmental regulations, site permits, pollution prevention, and emissions management.
Provide technical guidance on applying best practices and conducting Best Available Techniques (BAT) reviews to support permitting and waste disposal.
Conduct audits and ‘Duty of Care’ inspections to verify compliance with company policies and environmental legislation, ensuring they are completed as scheduled.
Prepare technical reports, such as applications for Environmental Permit variations, ensuring all necessary support and documentation for permit modifications.

Rate: £40 per hour
