Astutes Power Team are working exclusively with a global media management and distribution company with offices and facilities located around the globe. This role will support the maintenance of existing electrical systems and new installations at sites in Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) region.

We are looking for an Electrical Authorising & Design Engineer focused on providing technical guidance to teams working on HV & LV equipment across their assets in the EMEA region. Part of this role will include travel and annual site inspections with key locations in the UK, Cyprus, Oman & Ascension Island. This role can be working out of their UK offices or they offer the ability to work from home.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Engineering & Programme Manager you will be responsible for:

Acting as owner for all HV & LV rules across EMEA sites.
The administration of electrical installations and existing electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry & company best practise.
Implementing Safe Systems of Work processes at site level.
Manage electrical database of electrical works, installations and drawings.
Manage the appointing and development of Authorised Persons (AP) & Competent Persons (CP) through interviews & assessments.
Mentor and lead all AP & CP at each site.
Carry out site audits & inspections and identify areas of improvement / concern for either systems or processes.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
High-Voltage SAP qualified
Chartered or Incorporated member of IET or equivalent body (candidates working towards this will also be considered)
IOSH / NEBOSH

Personal skills
The Electrical Authorising & Design Engineer would suit someone with:

Extensive experience working on Electrical Plant including transformers, motors, switch gear, UPS systems etc
Familiar with older equipment dated circa 40/50 years old.
Experience working on HV & LV systems within communication / broadcast sector
Familiar with detailed electrical engineering building services design & calculations.
Competent working on AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech and IES or similar
