Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company to recruit an EC&I Engineer / DCS Engineer for its site in North London.

The EC&I Engineer / DCS Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to £60,000 + private medical + competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting directly to the EC&I Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Being the site expert for electrical assets and C&I systems
  • Leading and supervising a team of EC&I Technicians responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance work
  • Managing and implementing SIL and Cybersecurity procedures.
  • The preparation of technical specifications and execution of site EC&I projects safely and within budget
  • Providing technical direction to operations and maintenance personnel and identifying areas of improvements
  • Managing high value maintenance contracts
  • Directing and supervising on site contractors
  • Ensuring HSE compliance at all times.
 
 
Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

 

  • A HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a heavy process environment/sector (e.g. power station, chemical plant, paper mill, refinery, steel works etc).
  • Ideally an IOSH or NEBOSH or Health & Safety Qualification
  • Experience with ABB AC160, AC450 and 900xa systems would be hugely beneficial
 
 
Personal skills

The EC&I Engineer / DCS Engineer role would suit someone who is:

 

  • Highly motivated with strong analytical thinking
  • Able to work well alone or within a team
