Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with one of the worlds largest wind power manufacturers to recruit a Commercial Manager to support in overseeing projects ranging from small contracts to large, turnkey projects building multi-turbine wind farms. Projects range in value from £5m to £150m.

The Commercial Manager role comes with a salary of £65,000 depending on experience plus bonus scheme and pension scheme including salary sacrifice.

Responsibilities and duties

As a Commercial Manager you will;

Oversee and manage contracts from internal, client, and subcontractor perspectives, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
Monitor project financial results, utilising SAP and SAP BI tools and spreadsheets for accurate forecasting and financial reporting.
Handle invoicing and manage cash flow to ensure timely billing and effective financial control.
Interpret contract terms and conditions to ensure adherence and resolve any issues that arise during project execution.
Administer and manage claims from clients and suppliers, coordinating with contract management and legal teams to resolve disputes.
Perform risk assessment management reviews and updates.
Ensure delivery of contract conditions precedent, including securing bank guarantees, parent company guarantees, and managing down payments as required by contract terms.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Degree in finance, legal studies, commercial quantity surveying (QS), construction, or civil engineering.
Proven experience managing multi-million-pound contracts, preferably using FIDIC standards.
Relevant experience in heavy civils, construction, engineering, or utilities companies, or similar sectors.
