Cable Jointer - Scotland
Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading company within the power industry to recruit a Cable Jointer covering various locations across the UK.

Responsibilities and duties
As the Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for:
- Underground cable laying, jointing, and terminations for voltages up to 33kV.
- Installing, jointing, and terminating low and high voltage power cables (LV, 11kV, 33kV).
- Connecting cables to substations and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborating with project managers, supervisors, and electricians to ensure efficient project execution.
- Completing accurate documentation, including job reports, risk assessments, and test certificates.
- Adhering to safety regulations and company HSEQ processes, including following DNO/IDNO safety rules.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Existing DNO/IDNO authorisations.
- Technical training in jointing and terminations.
- Proven experience as a Cable Jointer in the electrical industry.
- Certificate in non-licensed asbestos removal.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and proficiency with cable jointing tools.
- A valid UK driving licence is essential.

Salary and benefits of the Cable Jointer role:
- Salary of £40,000 – £50,000 DOE
- Company van and fuel card.
- 30 days annual leave (inclusive of company shutdown days).
